Campo de Ourique and  Amoreiras

Campo de Ourique neighbourhood is one of the most characteristic neighbourhoods of Lisbon, very busy and where people enjoy the street-life a lot. It was reborn in recent years driven by a new wave of traditional shops, especially the renewed Campo de Ourique Market, which has kept its fresh market function and is nowadays an important meeting point for tapas and snacks. With a life of its own, the neighbourhood gathers a wide range of restaurants and pastry shops, fashion and decoration shops, where old spaces coexist with modern concepts. The Santo Condestável Church, right next to the Market, is one of its highlights.

Amoreiras is a very central neighbourhood in the consolidated Lisbon infrastructure, it welcomed the first shopping centre that opened in the beginning of the 80s in an important architectural landmark that still makes the neighbourhood itself a lively commercial and business area. The neighbourhood has kept its residential nature, with a family-oriented livelihood while becoming more modern at the same time. It has some of Lisbon's most traditional hotels and the beautiful Amoreiras Garden, a true haven in the city' s heart. This is where the Águas Livres Aqueduct ends, a real postcard of Lisbon.
